Nuclear War? Disease? Global warming? An alien spaceship attacking earth? When the Sun become a red giant? When Andromeda merges with the Milky Way? Black Holes? The general stupidity of humans? An accident involving time travel? Or, for the optimistic, Gnab Gib? The Big freeze? What are your thoughts?

could be anyone of these, the most realistic are nuclear war, global warming disease, big freeze, from human stupidity, but if we dont get off earth in a few billion years yes we will die. However, we will evolve so much in billions of years that you might not even classify us as humans anymore. If we keep living we will def. be an elite species of our galaxy, but chances are we will get to smart for earth and our home will be destroyewd.

However we go it will be long before the Sun becomes a red giant. By then there will be another intelligent lifeform on the planet, perhaps the last of a series of intelligent lifeforms. We will be fossils in their museums. It would be rather fun to be in a museum's fossil collection - a type of immortality.

H. sapiens will become extinct. In time all species do become extinct.
One of two things will happen:
1. H. sapiens leave at least 1 descendant species.
2. H. sapiens is the last of the hominid line.
