Might be weird, but maybe you've learned something since Grade Six so it isn't really talking about the same thing over and over.

Hey 6th gradeer....ok, you want a topic that' s persuasive in nature ; items the Government allows the public to possess versus item,s they cannot and why can't they have them????

Our Goverment allows Tobacco products and alcohol products to be possessed by people, yet, they kill 400,000 each year; our Government then taxes the use of the items...

Our Government will NOT ALLOW drug use, such as Marijuana, yet they argue Marijuana is harmfull....

The arguement could be made for the Government to DEFINE HARMFULL as opposed to death being "NOT HARMFULL"....?

Yet, how harfull is Marijuana Compared to Alcohol or Tobacco products?

Does Marijuana kill 400,000 a year? NO.

The persuasive speech is why not legalize Marijuana as it does not really hurt...

No, I don't use Marijuana, but the argument is sound...

good luck

Why not a subject that is about discipline, how it's changed over the years and how effective one method seems to be over another?
