20% of 8 is also 1/5 of 8.
If you use a calculator 8 x 0.2 is 1.6.
Try figuring this out by using fractions.
40/5 = 8
1/5 of 40 is 8.
So 40/5 - 32/5 = 8/5 (I used multiples of 8 to answer this.)
Then try long division of 8.00 divided by 5 and you should get your answer of 1.6. When you do the division, make sure that you put the decimal on the answer portion.
