I wouldnt put to much stock in a persons clothes without considering a few things like...are they having a loungey day (if they are in holey jeans) or ya see a hottie in a suit (must be work) odds are he isnt GQ all the time (such a pity eh) there are certian things about persons appearence other than clothes i feel you could use to more acurately guage thier character but as always its subject to condition but hey look a persons teeth (if there Nasty RUN AWAY)

I personally don't think you can judge people to much by their clothing. Someone might say you could at least judge their income but even that might be wrong. People might dress poorly and be very well off just with bad taste.
If you've ever watched the TLC show What Not to Wear you will see that those people dress well very badly but they are usually not bland or boring people. Most of them are very fun and entertaining people. The only thing you can judge is how they look in the clothes but i don't think the actual clothes give anything away about the person.

You never know. When I was in college there was a guy in my acting class - and I thought he was full of himself because he always wore Izod shirts - which were considered extremely preppy - and snobbish - especially in my opinion.
We were cast in plays together and became VERY good friends over the years. One day I was giving him a hard time about those shirts - and he laughed and said "You know that rich Uncle I have with the store? Well - I hardly had any clothes - and I'd used a lot of my money for tuition that semester - so I didn't have any cash to buy clothes. My cousin knew about that - and came over with a bunch of those shirts from my Uncle's store - as a gift. Heck - I wore 'em. I didn't really care for the style much - but it was all I had."
So - you see - you never know. Don't judge a book by it's cover!!!

Quite a bit, but you can't really hang all your judgments on that, however people who dress poorly tend to leave a bad first impression and people judge pretty quickly based on what you wear, and form an impression based on what they see.
But it's not all true..
For example, someone might wear suits and really nice preppy clothes throughout the day but on the weekends, wear cheap velour jogging suits and flip flops.
It doesn't mean they're specifically one way or another, but if over time they wear the same style over and over again, it speaks to their personality, or at least, what they like.
But some people dress a certain way because they have to for their jobs, or for other reasons.
You also have to consider their mannerisms, hairstyle, their grooming habits...

Hi Nemra, I think you can tell a lot about a person on the way they dress. I myself like to dress for comfort and wear tank tops when the weather is permitting. I like cowboy boots and hiking boots. They are very comfortable to me. Then theres the ones that have to be dressed up all the time, and they do not know the meaning of fun and enjoying. Then theres the in betweens that have know ideal what to wear, and are the ones who get hurt by
commons about them that they over heard. Life is to short to worry about whos saying what about people and the way they dress. Just be yourself and enjoy life while you can. At least that is what i try to do.
A Friend who likes to enjoy life and have fun.

Oh so much. You can tell if they have good taste in life. If they dress well they probably know how to live. if they are covered in polyester then you know they don't have a lot of money and are doing the best they can. If they are wearing designer labels that aren't real then you know that they are wanna be's and are extrremely shallow, because someone who has the real thing can tell the difference, even if they don't realize it, hard to pass. You can tell so much by shoes, that's where I always look. people with real class andd real good taste wear good shoes, even if it's their sneakers that they are wearing to work. You are what you wear.

You can tell if they have money or not - and I know people will say that some of the bummiest dressers have money, but it's just not true.
Celebrities are always trying to look like bums wearing old jeans and cheap t-shirts, but they will wear thousand dollar sunglasses to hide their face.

I guess it depends..There are plenty of people who wear attractive clothes, but are ugly inside. Brand names don't always mean success, as much as they might mean a desperate effort to fit in. You can't judge a person by their clothing choices...

you really can't determine anything from the clothes that people wear
however, you can tell if they try and follow the trends or not
everybody is pretty much conforming to the same brands
but personality wise, nothing

you shouldn't judge on that - but - you can tell about their financial standing,by name brands etc. alot of cliques/groups tend to dress similar - like in high school, you have the goths in black, the rednecks in tight jeans and boots, the wannabes in baggy jeans, the jocks in jerseys - that's how it was in my high school. the preps wore Tommy and Calvin Klein ... now i guess it'd be hollister.we also had the grunge kids and the hippies- that's a bad thing to do tho associate people by what they have on,everyone is an individual - i wear what i like :)
