Intellectually through time. I mean sure you can read all the text books and know a lot about the world, but once you put that knowledge into action, then it becomes wisdom. Then you start to progress and grow intellectually. ; )

The fastest way I know to grow up is living one day at a time, well that, and learning to pay your own bills, live in your own house and not have mommy do your laundry.

Why be in a hurry to grow up? I am 32 and i used to think that and now i am just like " well the hell did the last 32 years go!!??". When you get older the years go quicker so don't be in a hurry whilst you are young.

none of what hey said above actually works as good as going into the USMC
the Marines will make you grow up faster than anything in the world

To grow up quickly is to stop being immature (If you are) and start doing things independently and making the right choices.

Sex, bills, hardships, life. Pay the bills, work for someone you don't like, have your best friend die, get assaulted, being forcefully taken advantage of... in the end you will get mad at everything mankind has become, and learn that Life is a *****.
