Stop thinking about yourself and caring what others think. The more you talk the more grow. You will see that others are screwed up too. I told my husband all my junk and he still loves me and never makes me feel bad. GOD BLESS YOU

Intimacy comes from intimate, which means to be closely personal. It can be from a close union, contact, association, acquaintance. It can also refer to having an illicit sexual relation.

I don't see the connection between you sharing your fears without being rejected and intimacy. You can be intimate with some one, share your fears and still get rejected. Intimacy does not guarantee that you won't be rejected.

Wow. There are all sorts of levels. Not to be gross, but being sick in front of the other is kind of a special level of intimacy. It says "I'm not afraid to be gross in front of you, because I know you love me no matter what my breath smells like" ;)

Intamacy is lots of things to different people. To some it's straight up sex. These people are superficial. I tend to lean to your side, being able to share my most innermost feelings is the most intimate I can think of.
