They seem to be blowhards and full of themselves. is it me? Or do other people think this way? They also seem to have an east coast and National League bias.

Dude you hit the Nail right on the head with those two. During the playoffs in 2005 those guys couldn't even pronounce the White sox players names right it Drove me crazy. These are the number 1 contenders and you dont know how to pronounce Tadahito Iguchi. I was very upset. I also just bought MLB 2k7 and those guys r the announcers for the game and i thought i was gonna shoot myself when i started a new season. Yep but your right just like on ESPN if they r not from Boston or New York then your name is not worth knowing.

McCarver should not be allowed to do Cardinals games. It is clear he is still beholden to the Busch family, and he should listen to himself. That being said, no color guy in the game knows more about baseball than McCarver when he can be objective.

Morgan seems to contradict himself because ESPN tells him to talk after every pitch. I also wonder how much Morgan and Jon Miller actually get along with each other. I think a baseball announcing team should at least seem as if they would sit together and watch a game. I don't think Morgan and Miller would choose to sit near each other if they showed up at a park.

Listening to Tim McCarver is like listening to someone dragging their nails over a blackboard! Joe Morgan talks too much. He never gives anyone a chance to say anything. He is rarely prepared for any games he covers and many times does not even know the names of the players on the field. Morgan loves that, "hall of famer" introduction he always gets and never let's people forget it!

i think mccarver isn't the greatest, but he has some good insight...i think morgan is an excellent announcer, he always has thoughtful and interesting insights into the game and how it's played...as for the bias, mccarver doesn't work any games on the west coast so that may be a reason you think he's biased, but morgan works more than enough games out there so i wonder how that might be

Tim McCarver is very over rated. He is boring and states the obvious repeatedly. Check out this website for a perfect description of his style http://youtube.com/watch?v=FINIQILRjwU
Joe Morgan is insightful and knows what he's talking about. It doesn't get much better than Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN with him and Jon Miller. Although he may seem full of himself, let us remember, He is a Hall of famer, I think he has earned that right.

Who's rating them? I find Morgan to be good, McCarver is ok, but he talks to the audience like we're ****** stupid. Putting Mc Carver and Buck together is a mistake because I fall asleep during the game. Morgan obviously has a west coast biased because he is from Oakland and who cares what Mc Carver thinks anyways, as far as National league biased, even I like the National league better, even though I always root for the American because I'm an A's fan.

they are all rather undesirable. i visit a minimum of stand Miller's delivery of the game if i'm no longer truly concentrating to heavily. yet Joe Morgan is not only an finished imbecile yet he's continually patting himself on the again for a way he used to play. He also makes up memories abruptly to attempt to look smart to the common fan or those too youthful to understand he's mendacity. So regardless of the truth that i imagine dollar and McCarver are undesirable they appear to be Lincoln giving the Gettysburg deal with in evaluation.

Tim McCarver is the biggest blowhard there is. He consistently hammers a point into your head until you are screaming for mercy. Morgan doesn't bother so much, although I know many people can't stand him either.

McCarver is an idiot, plain and simple. Morgan is good at what he does because he adds insight to the game. That's his job, not to call the game, but to add to the game, and he does that very well. It's rare that a great player can do that so well, I think that may be why I like him.

I wish they would go to umpire school so they would know the rules better. I really don't mind listening to either of them, but they tend to repeat some of the myths of the baseball rules - and that bugs me a lot.

Morgan is a bit overbearing at times, and McCarver prattles on, but they both had outstanding major league careers (Morgan moreso), so they do have room to talk.
