It is very complex, but probably there are two options, the first one is that the black hole is a kind of connection between two universe which that also make us smaller than we think ,a connection to an empty universe because in ours there is time and space and of course celestial objects.
The other option is like a kind garbage space hole, everything goes there and gets destroy once it reach the surface of that small but with high gravity mass increasing the gravity every time that eats something.
But I am sure that the time should be affected by this because the space is affected by the high gravity.
Of course is only my opinion , I have never been there and I don't want to be there.
Cheers

A black hole is not a hole; it's a body so massive that nothing can escape it; not even light. Inside a black hole, therefore, is matter. But this matter is so dense that even a small volume (say a spoonful) would contain tons of mass.

As long as I understand a black hole is a collapsed star that has such a big gravity that even light is trapped by it, so according to this theory, inside a black hole there is a star and all what it could catch

An incredibly huge lot of matter squeezed into an incredibly small space.
Try imagining the whole Earth being squashed to the size of a pin head, and you get the idea.
Unimaginable density hence their amazing gravitational pull.
It's the sort of thing you would get if all the electrons in all the atoms that everything is made of were to crash into the atomic nuclei they orbit and join up with the protons to form neutrons.
It's heavy stuff...

hang around long enough, you might find out. obviously there is a black hole at the center of our own galaxy, pulling you closer everyday. I belive the black holes will one day return the entire universe back to the cingularity then bang! or big bang! all over again.

Gravitational pull. Donna m, has given a thought, a singularity is what started the universe off. Just supposedly we are living in our universe,on 1 hand + the other one next door, figuratively speaking.. I propose this by the `Slit experiment`.

actually, black holes have almost been proven to be the center of every galaxy, so the general answer of an imploded star may be incorrect. black holes could be the genisis of every galaxy instead of the eventual destruction of them.

A very dense concentration of mass. Something like the entire mass of the Earth squeezed into a one inch ball.

its not really known for certain. many scientists think that a black hole is a huge vaccumm that sucks up anything that gets in its path. other scientists think that its a super sonic tube to connect us to other galaxies.

there is somthing known as singularity. thats where all the stuff the black hole sucked up is compressed.
