I only do it with eyeliner.
I dunno why I do it ; I think every girl does.
It's probably some neuro-response that only girls have.
Same thing when trying to spoon-feed a baby vegetable mush or whatever...I keep opening my mouth wide when I do it !!!!!!

Cat had very round cheeks when she was a kitten. Also deep-set eyes. It made it easier to get the mascara onto the bottom lashes if my mouth was open, so my cheeks were sort of smoothed out.

that is funny isnt it, yeah I do when I am applying mascara, I also pucker my lips in like a fish when I am putting my blush on, lol. I wonder if it's something that we picked up from out mothers watching them as little girls putting on makeup or what. Neat question.

Yes, and it's because when putting mascara or eye liner on, your eye needs to be as wide open as possible. Your eyes open wider when your mouth's open at the same time.

i think its because by opening your mouth it helps to stretch the cheek muscle down a bit. which makes it easier to apply because it gives you more room. or maybe its just a strange habit??

Guilty as charged. Were you watching me or spying?

Hmmmm....maybe it has something to do with coughing when you clean your ears with Q-tips.
