There are only two major airlines operating between Malaysian destinations, the national carrier Malaysia Airlines and the budget carrier AirAsia. There are also smaller operators like Pelangi Air, Berjaya Air and Mofaz Air specializing in certain sectors. Of these, AirAsia offers deep discounts for early bookers online but the others do give discounts during promotions.

Well, I'll go with the flow here and say AirAsia as well.
Amn1717 forgot to mention one of Sarawak's airlines 'Hornbill Skyway Services' I once flew from Kuching to Mukah using them and it was a tiny little 14 seater single propeller engine plane.
Me and my American friend were never so takut in all our lives. Within minutes of taking off the plane filled up with smoke (which turned out to be the air con starting up) and the pilot kept flying into low forming clouds which made the 'toy' airplane do a mabok dance in the skies and the poor little engine kept sounding like it wanted to pack up at any moment.
We was never so glad when our feet finally touched the ground and we walked out of the air-strip still shaking like a plate of jelly.
But I'm sure the Capitan has made that trip a thousand times and was laughing inside his head at us bodoh takut tourists! Give it a try it's a thrill of a lifetime and it's certainly something you wont forget in a hurry!

There are 2 budget airlines, air asia and FAX, both owned by the same bloke
Wouldnt recommend either, they are not decent airlines as we understand the term in europe.
i.e., reduced baggage allowance, very rarely fly to schedule, and you cant bring your own food/drink, o and the seat interval is tiny!

Yes, there is one airline that offer cheap fight i.e Airasia.
You can visit airasia.com. But the rate of the ticket is unfixed. At peak time it is high but still lower compared to other airlines.
