You've only been trying for 2 months, relax. Sometimes it takes up to a year. If you try for a year and nothing happens, go to a doctor then to get tested, but they won't see you before a year of trying. If you want a free ovulation calculator, go to www.babycenter.com. You type in the first day of your last period, and it will tell you which days you are most likely to be fertile.
Quit smoking now. Better to quit when you aren't pregnant that to have to quit because you found out you were 6 weeks pregnant. You don't want your baby smoking AT ALL. Have your fiance quit too.

Do your best to calm down and relax. This is my second month trying as well and I'm waiting to see if AF comes next week. I know I'll be upset if it does especially because I've been having many symptoms. It's OKAY to feel upset and frustrated even in your 2nd month of TTC. It doesn't mean there is something medically wrong with us...it's all about the timing in our bodies. Are you tracking your ovulation days? If not, I suggest doing this and perhaps buy an ovulation kit. If you are already doing this, the only thing you (and I) can do is to be patient and keep trying. It typically takes 6months-1year to conceive for the first time. We may not be a part of those lucky few who only had to try once or twice! Try and have fun trying! Hang in there!

It's early days, let it happen. Stressing is a barrier, so enjoy the experience of being a young woman, having a loving partner and the future of a family. What about some meditation to help you control your worry, focus on what you want and feel the good feelings of working towards getting the outcome. You can buy a meditation cd, or go to local classes - meditation has helped millions to stay cool and get the answers to how, why, what and when.
That said, medical problems often don't show for many, sometimes 20 or more years, so make sure you are living healthily. Whoa, quitting smoking would be a major step in this direction. Not only does it reduce fertility, it can cause harm to the developing baby.

Two months is not really a long time. Most people have to try for much longer. Doctors normally won't even see you until you've been trying for a year under 35 or 6 months over 35. Nothing is wrong with you or your fiance. It just takes time sometimes.

Hi. I know what you're going through - I too have been trying for about 5 or 6 months now - and I am completely healthy - even went in for a full physical and pap this past month - just to be sure. ;) They say the 'average' couple tries for 6 months to a year to conceive. Frustrating I know - I'm one of those people who when I want something - I want it NOW :) And there's such a tiny window of opportunity every month to get pregnant - its all in the timing.. and well.. luck of the draw I guess!? Timing can be perfect - like me - we had sex EVERYDAY - but still not pregnant - I dont think - I too have a question on here and going to the Dr tomorrow;)
The best of luck to you and plenty of baby dust!!
Keep us informed of your progress - and think positively - it'll happen!! :) Enjoy the process

This book is a must read for any woman trying to get pregnant. I was devastated and so was my husband after being told by my fertility specialist at age 38 that I had no option but to consider adoption or donor eggs (according to my doctor I was out of eggs and gave me 4% chance of getting pregnant and a 2% chance of carrying a baby to full term). After much research and dozens of hours reading infertility related articles and posts online, I have found this book! I never believed in anything alternative to western medicine and thought all the other stuff like Chinese medicine was a hoax. But I was soon glad to be wrong as I followed step by step guidelines. After one month of trying I became pregnant and had a beautiful healthy boy. Nine months after that I did everything in the book again and after 2 months of trying I got pregnant again and gave birth to another perfect little boy. I would recommend anyone with an open mind to read this book. It just might be the answer to your prayers.

Only 50% of the people trying to conceieve do so in the first 3 months...75% conceive within 6 months and 90% conceive within a year. Relax...a Dr won't be concerned till you have been trying for at least a year.

It took me 4 months to get pregnant after stopping my pill. But everyone is different. It took my best friend 6 months and my other friend 8 months after they stopped their birth control. So hang in there and don't worry. It will happen, just be patient and give it some time.
