Might I ask why are you interested only in the european branch of the slave trade? It was neither the oldest route nor the most crowded.
The "european" route was from West Africa across the Atlantic Ocean to the coast of Brazil, the Carribean (Cuba/ Dominicana) and the southern US. After unloading the ships went to Europe to reload trade goods (usually weapons) and then made their way back to the African coast.
The weapons were used both in the never ending local wars and against the Arab slave traders who were pushing from the North and the East. The irony- if one can call it that- is that the people running away from the arab slavers were invading other tribes, often causing the same type of misery they were escaping from.

The oldest slave trade route is from South Europe, North Africa and the Sudan to Egypt and Arabia. That was modified after the North African coast was de-populated and colonised by the arabs and after the Christian kingdom of Sudan was finally conquered and converted to Islam.

To make things even stranger, most of these slaves were used (after Janissary type training) as soldiers against Christians in the conquest of the crusader kingdoms and later in the conquest of Byzantium and beyond. For some reason Africans served as slave infantry, while caucasian slaves were trained as cavalry

After Sudan was colonised by the arabs, the slave trading centre moved to Sudan (slaves are still bought openly in Chartoum, Sudan, even today) and the slaver raiders attacked as far as Kenya, Tanzania, and Congo- for a while even creating a slave trader empire in Central Africa (Tippo Tib). That was ended by the colonial empires (especially the British and French) but after "liberation" the old customs were often resumed.
Another very old route is from the East coast of Africa (Zanzibar) to China. However the Chinese only took men, and only if they were castrated beforehand.
SFAIK no slave route across the Pacific. Too far. Not enough slaves survived to make the trip profitable
