Joe Theisman and Tony Kornhieser. They ripped Chad Pennington during the Christmas Phins - Jets game, yet the next play after the 1 worst insult, he threw a beautiful TD pass. Also, ESPN sets up these stories, and they have 2 tell them, they can't announce the game. Kornheiser should go back 2 writing 4 the newspaper, and Thiesman took 2 many painkillers during rehab 4 his broken leg.

Oh yea, whatever happened to that CBS show about Kornheiser, wit Jason Alexander.

The better question might be who is the best, the monday announcers were horrid (surprisingly no team was verbally massaged the most). John Madden is also horrid, Joe Buck is self righteous and morally appalling, most of the 2nd or 3rd team announcers are horrible with the exception of 1 game I was watching (although I forget who the announcers were because after going 20-0 in the first half, I half-heartedly was paying attention). The running joke for a couple of friends was a game between the vikings and the panthers (The announcers every other word was Julias Peppers, did not matter offense or defense or special teams Peppers came out of no where to make the tackle, catch, or kick)

Joe Theisman, he is god awful! I remember this past season when the Steelers played the Jaguars, it was Ben Roethlisberger's first start after his appendicitis and he was running a bit of a fever, and "genius" Joe said, "Ben MAY or MAY NOT play in the game." That is such insight. Tony Kornheiser sucks as well, but there's a bit of a semi-personal thing I have against him. He's all right on PTI, but he shouldn't be commentating a football game. ESPN has basically ruined football, if you have to watch it, I'd watch it with the sound turned off.

Cheers!

Joe Theisman

He's been part of the worst announce team for years now. He was one of the holdovers from ESPN's awful Sunday Night team that is now on their awful Monday Night team. ESPN's even got their worse Arena Football announce team as their number 1 team (Mike & Mike are going to be the lead team, though it was obvious from the 2 games this week that Jaworski and Hoge are far better announcers).

ESPN just tends to do a poor job of covering sports and seems to get worse every season.

The most annoying announcer is John Madden with his common sense calls and child like aptitude. His voice is annoying and when he talks he makes feel a little bit stupider with every word.

I used to think it was Dick Enberg. When he would let go with his trademark "Oh my!" on an 8 yard out pattern thrown by Elway. But now I have to go along with most of the others, the ESPN MNF crew is agonizing. They should have left well enough alone and stuck with Mike Patrick and Paul Maguire. Even they could shelter the viewer from Theismann.

Tirico and Kornheiser are very good together... I dont know how the hell Theisman even got into the NFL he knows nothing about football... Theisman sucks so bad, it's not even funny, have Madden, Michaels, Kornheiser in the booth, now thats the stuff right there homie

for play-by-play announcers, it has to be greg gumbel, it's just torture listening to that guy

for color commentators, it's gotta be joe theismann, he doesn't have much knowledge of the game in my opinion and also disrupts the flow of the announcing on mnf...tirico and kornheiser seem to work well together and he destroys their rhythm by making fun of tony

EDIT: i can't believe how much all of you guys hate tony kornheiser, he's not there to be a genius, he's there to be an entertaining and somewhat insightful person...do i wish he'd ask theismann less dumb questions? yes, but he's still lots better than you guys seem to be giving him credit for
