I started my period when I was 12. I wasn't close with my mom so I hid it from her for 3 months until she caught me swiping pads from her bathroom.

I started at 12, had cramps for a while, but took asprin and it was better. I have heavy bleeding for the first 2 or 3 days and then it is lighter. My sister has very light periods and shorter than mine, hers are only 4 or 5 days long, mine are a full week or more. I just started wearing tampons, my mom did not want us girls to until we were at least 15, but I did anyway, it was hard to get it in right, but finally got it and it is great!

I was 12. I just started in June. My little sister found my underwear and told my mom. I hid it from her for about 3 months.

I got my period on my dad's birthday, of all things, when I was 12 years old. I hid it from my mom for 6 months, though because me and her were not close and I did not feel comfortable talking to her about it.

i was 13 and hid it from my mom for a year until my 9 year old sister started her period. it happened to her while she was in day care. i felt too ashamed to tell my mother even though that was apart of life. i guess as i started to get older, it wasn't so bad. now i have no choice but to deal with it.

Its different for everybody, thats when i started mine, but some people might not start untill they are 16! did you know they youngest person to have a baby was 4 years old? she was fully developed, and had been having regular periods since she was 2! amazing isnt it?

I was 13 and my mom didn't find out for about a month or two when i went to the doctor for my physical(the doctor asked) I just wasn't that confortable talking about it...especially with my mom even though we r pretty close
