Whereas asking a question marinated in hyperbole and contempt yeilds many answers? Why is this so in the answers community? Do people care more about real questions and real answers, or do they care mroe about soapboxin?

Frustrating, isn't it? Originally, I loved the idea of this forum...that you could engage in intelligent and lively debate. But this is no better than a schoolyard fight with little children who have underdeveloped imaginations!

I have posted several thought provoking and interesting questions....but unless I take a shot at one side or another, I can't seem to engage people.

Come to imagine of it, no, i do not! nonetheless i have in reality been on the following for decades. i do not understand how some distance "veteran" status is going again. Andrew Lang once stated that some human beings use information an identical way a lower than the impression of alcohol makes use of a lamp-placed up: for help, quite than illumination. i imagine an identical issue occurs with truly some the questions the following, in spite of who asks them. ideally, this could be an section the position human beings ask "even as is Passover this year?" or "the position contained in the Bible is the verse about so-and-so?" or "What books do you propose on transcendentalism?" etc. yet again, it not often works out like that. i have been a aspect 7 for likely a minimum of a year, and that i have in my opinion in no way ever revealed a question on Yahoo solutions. it truly is because i have continuously been able to discover the solutions i'm searching for by technique of both searching the data or only searching the completed 'internet. I do supply stupid and sarcastic responses inspite of the truth that to question that are loaded, insincere, or have already been requested 5000 cases.

I've noticed that as well; everytime I simply want a straight answer to a question all I recieve are jokes and "I don't know"s. I thought this would be a good way to quickly find people who know what I need to know, but it's generally not that easy. I try to always answer to the best of my ability. Although, looking at the kinds of questions you are asking, I have to say that it's rather likely that the people who even know anything about what you're asking about aren't likely reading this site.

Well unfortunately, Y!A was never meant to be a forum for debate. It was simply a place where you could ask questions like "Whats a good recipe for chicken?" or "How do you remove splinters?".

Because this generation is more politically involved, more opinionated, Y!A has turned into a b.s. forum for the most part. If you hang out for a while, you'll figure out who takes it more seriously, who doesnt, and who to just stay away from.

Yes, it seems the Trolls from the old Yahoo Message Boards have found their way here and are spamming the heck out of this forum.
