sounds to me like you are ovulating. There are a lot of women who can feel the ovulation process happening. I happen to be one of them.
Are you on any form of birth control pill? if you are, then you need to talk to you doctor about what could be causing the pain.
If you are sexually active, and older, and never experienced this pain before around your fertile time, then its also wise to talk to a doctor.
Very important to get your annual Pap exams done also. Make sure you let your gynocologist know that you are sexually active and never lie about having multiple partners if you have had more than one in the last year. Your doctor will do more tests to make sure there is nothing else going on like HPV, Cervicitis, Cervical Cancer, STD's etc. That kind of knowledge will help you in the long run. Its good for a piece of mind and it will be helpful in your later years when you do decide to have kids.

I saw my Dr some time ago about the same thing. He advised that it is ovulation pain. Some months are worse than others, with no pain to quite a lot of pain.

Anyway he said it was normal, and can last a couple of days.

Hope this helps!
