I want your honest opinion on why you think we are here, think about how the most miniscule thing affects everything around us (butterfly effect). Is everything fate? Do things happen for a reason? What happens when we die? WHY?

1) The meaning of life cannot be lumped into one sentence for the peoples' in this universe. Why? Because meaning of life has been asked down through the age and the greatest philosophers then and now cannot name it.
2) Why we are here ...we are here for a purpose and each of us have our own unique purpose. My purpose may be different from yours. I find it difficult to lump the answer to your question because one sentence cannot be used for all those peoples' in the universe.
3)Butterfly effect is most like the pay it forward effect...which is how I live my life.
4) I don't believe everything is left to fate...some must be pre-ordained or governed by God, the moon and tides, and sun.? why not?
5)Yes, everything happens for a reason...we will know those later.
6)When I die my body will be cremated and my soul is willed to God.
7) Why? Because I believe, I do the most kind things I can and I don't do things to hurt others, I help others when I can , I pray, I worship, give testimony and I love.

Life actually does have an intrinsic meaning, but to get to it we're going to have to progress a little sideways. So bear with me...

Before we can talk about the meaning of life, I think it's productive to first ask the question, "What IS life?". This is a bit easier to answer, if not perfectly clear, because biologists obviously have to be able to explain what, exactly, the bio- part of their name refers to.

Biologists themselves often approach the question backwards. Instead of defining life as a whole, they instead consider the number of things that we generally consider to be 'alive' and figure out what qualities they all seem to have in common. This gives us a handful of properties that all living things we know of seem to have, including growth, reproduction, and the ability to make long-term adaptations to the environment.

Okay. So what does that MEAN? Again I think we need to break down our question with another one: "What IS meaning?" I'll take the same approach as the biologists on this one and consider examples. If a boulder fell on someone's house, and one observer asked another, "What does that mean?", what would acceptable answers be? I can think of a number of them ("It means that was a bad place to build a house"), and what they seem to have in common are that they describe greater implications and intent. Or in other words, given the event, process, or object, what will happen in the future, what led to it in the past, and what effects and intents does it have in the present?

So what does life do? It changes things. We know from the definition of life that it grows, consumes, spreads, alters its environment and alters the ways in which it does all these things. Having living things around means things are going to be different later, and probably were different before. Any time we imagine a place where nothing is ever different the only way that image works is to make it completely devoid of life. So that is something.

But it's not everything. Life doesn't produce just ANY change, but a certain flavour of it. Simply put, living things want to live. The changes living things make, generally speaking, either help them do so or kill them off. So life is not just about change, but change ideally for the better, even if practically it falls short sometimes.

This, then, must be the meaning of life. To change for the better.

Curiously enough, a quick survey of major philosophies, religions, and systems reveals that almost all of them seem to integrate this concept. Change for the better. There may be other important things, as some of the above systems would suggest, but to 'change for the better' is, at least, is the one thing implied by the very nature of the way things are. So do it!

Death is simple.... we all will do it and no one wants to face it. So a humans we complicate it in fear, theory, just b/c we are human we complicate it. I believe life is just a passage to our greater fate our destiny with God. So life is more like a training and education course that teaches us and prepares us which we either fail or succeed. So not everything is based on fate, and things do happen fir a reason, but not always for the right reasons.

I just took an existential psychology class because I have pondered that question (seriously) myself. I think there is a plan that is unknown. We all fit into this plan. The key is finding where you fit. Living your life authentically by how you feel inside. Incongruency in living has been theorized as the basis for humanities fears and anxieties. I think this is true. So, live your life responsibly as you feel is right and you will find your meaning. The larger plan is beyond our grasp.

To understand life it is best to understand the basic unit of life, the cell. In that level, there's constant creation. The Intelligence that created this universe is constantly creating by cell division and creation of new cells. This Intelligence creates from pure love. This will become real to you only when you experience Him. So, life is co-creating all areas of our life from an intention of pure love. You come to know the author of a book by reading his book. You come to know his style, his message, his feelings and
you come to experience his beingness by reading his work. In life, it is best to always observe nature because it is the work of that Intelligence. You observe in nature that there is harmony in diversity and that there is sustainability. The cows eat grass then what comes out is cow manure which becomes a fertilizer for the soil for another plant to grow. The seed stops being a seed, then it becomes another plant, then the plant bears another fruit where seeds come from to become another plant and the earth helps make this happen. There is perpetual creation going on, we are just not aware of it because we are so busy in everyday life doing our own stuff. From the examples I gave, you will see that the Source is doing pro-survival stuff. If we align or thoughts and actions to That and co-create pro-survival stuff in all areas of our life, we can create a life of happiness, infinite happiness!
With regards to death, there is no such thing because when we
die there is just transformation going on in the physical level.Your spirit lives on. Your body releases water etc. and in the atomic level, the information is still there it just changes its position in space.

LIFE – it has a meaning and loving purpose - you just have to find your purpose and live it.

I believe every person is here for a definite purpose. Each person is special and valuable; that refers to me, you, your family, friends, in fact everybody! There is a loving plan for each of our lives here on earth and there is no such thing as coincidence. I don't believe that anything in life happens by chance and that every aspect of our lives points to something deeper.

You need to decide now to live for God rather than for yourself. You spend your life on Earth preparing yourself (as best you can) for death. I don't see death as a scary, negative experience, but birth into a bliss filled eternal life with God. I believe that this is something you have to consciously choose or not during your life on earth.

The meaning of life is for us to discover that we are true children of an infinitely loving God, to find out what our responsibilities are to our Creator, and to fulfill those responsibilities. Each of us is called to affirm, accept and develop the talents God has given us.

It is up to each of us to figure out that for ourselves. It is not always an easy task. For me, I just want to be happy find someone to love who loves me and to live a full life. I want to be a good mother and wife and do whatever it takes to make sure my family is happy and healthy.

In my opinion, we are here to procreate and make our race continue. The meaning of life is whatever we make it. We are here to help eachother and that will help to make our lives beautiful. Everything is already pre-ordained by our heavenly father. Everything happens for a reason...whatever His will is for our destiny to be.
