The essential question here was, did Saddam have WMD? Wilson said no, and the answer turned out to be, no. Bush said yes.
Every human being is imperfect and lies and makes mistakes. Did Wilson act with malice? I don't know. One can certainly make the case he acted out of patriotism.
Was he wrong? Some would certainly say yes. The proof is probably classifed.
Can the media make any sense of it all? Probably not.

Joe Wilson was tired of the deception of the Administration and though it should be brought out. What else was Bushco going to lie about. Plame was innocent. She was an employee of the CIA with heavy cover status. Blowing her cover could have meant her life. What else will these people in Bushco stoop to in trying to intimidate those who disagree with their policies or out their lies?

bush lied and tried to cover it up, period.
bush is losing the war on terror.
bush is losing the support of the American people

Because they are liberals and being a liberal means never having to question a liberal claim. As we all know, liberals are always right, errr, I mean correct.
