i think the us should participate in a un-led initiative...we have to be careful now to not spread forces too thin across numerous objectives and we have to support more diplomatic pressure on the government...nevertheless anything we do in africa has to measured against our relationship with china...china's oil and material interests in africa have led to some trade deals that we can't get to messy with...i think it would become a point of controversy between us...so again, i think it has to be done through a body like the un...but ultimately something has to be done...

Yes, only because the UN will not. The Muslims in Darfur are killing, enslaving and burning the homes of Christians in Darfur. The violence is beginning to spread to Chad and will not stop. The news will only call it a civil war, its not. Pastor Rod Parsley is trying to help the victims, but needs help. Pray for the innocent people in that area please.

The US should not be involved at this time - the UN should turn to Russia and China for the required support. Let someone else shoulder the troubles of the world for a change.

The U.S. should stay out of it. Our government has already bit off more than it chew. Let the UN resolve issues, that's what it's there for. The U.S. needs to worry more about our country. We have homeless and hungry too.

I thought we weren't supposed to get involved in civil wars. They claim Iraq is a civil war and we are supposed to pull out and deploy into another one???
