What happened was just this.
The wind began to switch - the house to pitch and suddenly the hinges started to unhitch.
Just then the Witch - to satisfy an itch went flying on her broomstick, thumbing for a hitch.

Well, first he went outside to see what the noise was all about. As he walked down the path, he slipped on a pinecone, and flew into the air. He landed in a cactus garden, and that's how he got the needles all over his body. OUCH!
