I've done it loads, all you get is a quick tingle (sort of a short sharp shock) on the tongue, but you should put your tongue over both the positive and negative terminals at the same time otherwise I doubt there wouldn't be much to feel from it.

I do this often as I work in a shop, I do it to test the batteries, if I cant find the tester, it tasted kinds sweet and metal, kind of like metal sherbet if its full and no taste if its dead.
so NO not a lot qill happen to you.
But DONT try it JUST in case.

I agree with Jenny T, I thought everyone would have done it. We all used to do it when we were kids. Voluntarily! It's really funny!
However, if they dare you to rub Vick's Vapo Rub under your eye DON'T DO IT! LOL (What do you mean 'I'd never be THAT stupid?!?! Haha!) I had to spend the whole day in the medical room after that!! Nice friends eh?! He he!

no dont do it with a 9v battery,do it with a car battery,then post it on u tube.

Yes, it won't do anything. Only if you touch both terminals together does anything happen and even then it's only a tingle.
