I went online and researched it all when I first found out I was pregnant. I took all these quizzes and was so excited that everything pointed towards a boy. When I finally told the doctor I wanted to know what the sex was, I was surprised to find out it was a girl!! All in all, I don't think that there's any truth behind any of those baby prediction stories.
That's awesome that you're waiting to find out what sex your baby is! I bet it's hard though! I wanted to know right away! Good luck-and take care!

Occasionally somebody says that all those pregnancy urban legends or old wives tales really applied to them and then it starts all over again.. No...The only thing that determines a baby's sex is the chromosomes in the sperm when it makes contact with the egg. Although it can still be fun to suspend the ring, or measure your stomach, or blame the gallon of ice cream on a certain gender...Either way you'll know when the time comes... Good Luck..

These are all old wives tales my sister has four girls and everytime she was carring the baby different one high one low one all out front the other she was wider in the hips.
It is a real guessing game to wait but its also a rush to have them tell you after you have been in labor for a while that its a girl or boy. I waited for my first and then next one my husband and I have already decided we are going to wait to find out what we are having.
Congrats! Boy or Girl either way you will have a blessing.

Everything you mentioned are old wives tales. Some people swear they are accurate...but they are generally just wives tales...
I crave salty foods which they say means boy (but I'm having a girl). I am carrying very high which they say is girl....I also follow other symptoms of boy and other symptoms of girl...you can't rely on these to indicate gender.

None of these are true. Better not to worry about the gender but check for your physical fitness and the vitamins and minerals required to get healthy baby.

I think the one about the way you carry your baby is true. A lot of people I know that were pregnant was accurate as far as the way that they carry the baby but the cravings isnt always accurate (as far as the people that I know who have been pregnant) but I think the best one is the way that you carry it although you will probably hear that it isnt very effective as far as the people around me and myself its been accurate.

No it's not true. I am carrying a little girl and I'm carrying her really low. She's never been high at all.

All of those are just fun little myths. They also say if the hearbeat is lower than 150 it's a boy... Here is a fun little quiz to tell ya what you are carrying. http://www.childbirth.org/articles/boyorgirl.html
Have fun!
