The chicken came first, to be able to lay eggs. Besides, if you read in the book of Genesis, God spoke the birds into existence-each after their own kind. Besides, common sense and logic says that the chicken came before the egg, as I mentioned first.

I have wondered these kind of questions for years.
The most difficult question in this series is: which was born first - the proteins to syntethize DNA or DNA to give information for the production of enzymes which are responsible for the construction of DNA...
No one of my fellow genetics has found solution to this question.
I think that your problem is overwhelming more difficult to answer...Good luck, however!
