Look for some Alfred Hitchcock movies. Most of them are very good thrillers...

It depends what kind of movies you like, becuase most movies in black and white have music in them... so, if you want dancing movies the best are probably the ones with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. If you want singing (Which most involve) Diana Durbin Movies are pretty good. It all depends on what type of movies you like.

Someone already answered this, but the "Thin Man" movies are really entertaining to watch - clever and funny. Two very good movies dealing with alcoholism are "The Lost Weekend" and "Days of Wine and Roses", "Streetcar Named Desire" - I never knew Marlon Brando was so HOT!, and a movie called "Woman in a Cage" stars a very young James Caan - suspenseful and creepy - Stephen King even calls it one of his fav's.
