MY cycles are not regular in any way...i have not been menstruating for a very long time and i'm kinda worried! does this happen when a person is experiencing hormonal problems and is it ok! i get my periods when i use the pill, but I’m not a big fan of taking medication. is it normal to not get your period, or do i have to take medication?

Best thing to do would be talk to your doctor. I have been off the pill for over a year now and my cycles are just now becoming normal. It may be that in order for your body to be regular you need to take some kind of hormone. Also take in consideration your diet and exercise. That plays a huge part. Good luck, and again talking to your doctor will be best.

During your first year or 2 of menstruating your periods may be irregular. If they are still irregular beyond that you may have an abnormal hormone imbalance that needs treatment. See your doctor. Tell her your concerns about taking medication. She will be able to suggest an alternative or explain why the medication is necessary.

My period is very irregular too, but if the reason you've started taking the pill is because a doctor told you to do so then i'd suggest you keep taking it. Its normal for your period to be irregular, but it you're just not getting it then thats not good. I'd say talk to your doctor. Good lucK!

i was put on birth control at 15 to regulate my period & i wasn't even having sex yet. u should call your doctor & ask him or her

you should be regular, so you should ask your doctor... this happens when you experiece hormonal problems... so, ask your dr.
