I swear, we hear the underrating of the Sandman and Sabu all the times. The only love we got for is RVD. Hell, you all dont even know who the likes of the Dudleys, Jerry Lynn, New Jack, Spike Dudley, Lance Storm, Justin Credible, CW Andersen, Terry Hart, KID KASH, Roadkill, Terry Funk are.
All of you say SC would stunner the Sandman? Yeah right. SC was around ECW though in the early 90s before he went to the WWF.
But yet you all don't even know who classic ECW commentator Joel "The Studmuffin" Gertner is. Yet you all think ECW sucks. Yeah, today it does. ECW wasn't always ran by Vince McMahon. Vince is the man you have to blame. He killed the spirit and like it or not if ECW was being ran by Heyman, and they still had the likes of Cyrus working in the back the children would be banned of watching such a gruesome show.
Did you know at this recent One Night Stand that Rey Mysterio was booed out of the Ballroom. Everyone was chanting for Sabu to "F him up".

I don't like it. I only watched it portions of 2 or 3 times since it's return. I'm positive the "E" doesn't stand for extreme anymore, maybe it stands for "Extra-(opportunity to try and cash in on kids buying what I'm selling because I'm Vince McMahon)". I do remember watching the old ECW, admittedly it was only in the last couple years of its original existence. I do remember the likes of New Jack, Dudleys, Impact Players, Lynn, Funk and Roadkill. Also, guys like Steve Corino (and the ever-present wheelchair-bound Jack Victory), Tajiri, Super Crazy, the real Taz (the one that dominated in the ring), Dawn Marie and Francine. And for sure I remember the neckbraced Quintessential Studmuffin.........Gert-ner! Along with Joey "Oh My Godddddddd" Styles. The arenas where they have it now make it look like the crowd is darkened out, maybe so viewers can't see the empty seats. Back in the old Hammerstein, the atmosphere was just so intense, every match. The entrance music fit way better for the wrestlers. And no, I wasn't aware that Mysterio was booed out at the PPV, but that is funny, although I don't hate Mysterio like some of their current "paper-champs". (Mysterio at one time was ECW, back in 1995) At least he has some actual ability. The old ECW had such a fanbase that is likely impossible to recreate now. When no-and-low-talents are shoved in people's faces, it's hard to have any passion for what is now seemingly a fading industry.

It's true. These people claim to know all there is to ECW, just because CM punk is the hottest thing since sliced bread and Bobby Lashley is the "greatest" ECW champion. Newsflash: All a piece of crap. The best of the best, came when guys like Funk, Sabu, Eddie, Sandman...these guys portrayed hardcore wrestling like it should be. Vince watered it down so much, you could swim in it. Rey is a great Luchadore. But compared to Sabu, Rey can't touch him. And, if Cena wins, we riot.

man, i have to say, i agree with you 100%, im sick and tired of these people dissing the old ECW, i mean seriously, some of the greatest wrestlers that i know were on there, like new jack, the sandman, tommy dreamer and sabu, the new ecw is just a disgrace. Sure most of the originals are still on, a whole five of them? i think its retarded and they should either get rid of the new ecw or let heyman run it again
