Unless extra iron is advised by doc, no. Folic acid and iron are already in prenatals. Best of luck.

In the UK prenatal vitamins are not really a big thing. Folic acid is advised for the first 12 weeks of pregnancy, and also for 12 weeks before conception if possible. Iron is not advises unless anaemia shows up in your blood tests. a healthy balanced diet should provide you with all the vitamins you need anyway.

A good prenatal vitamin will contain folic acid and iron. There is no need to take these seperately unless you have been prescribed them by your doctor.
You should definitely take your prenatal vitamin. It's very important for the health of your baby.

Really the only thing you need is prenatal vitamins because it will have the necessary amounts of folic acid, iron, etc already in it. If you need extra doses of certain vitamins your doctor will prescribe them...otherwise just stick with prenatal vitamins!
Good luck!

Watch that Iron supplement.
You want to talk to your doctor and make sure that you're taking the right things.
Your prenatal should already have folic acid and iron in it...unless the doctor has found you to be deficient in which case they'd add an additional supplment.
Talk to the doctor to be safe, especially with the iron, as too much iron has been found to have links to preterm labor.

You should only need to take the prenatal vitamins unless otherwise instructed by your doctor/midwife.
New research has shown that it is beneficial to take the prenatal vitamins all through the pregnancy as it lowers the risk of low birhtweight and miscarriage.

Just take your prenatal unless your doctor has told you otherwise. Prenatals have iron and folic acid in them, so there is no need to take additional unless you have been told to.

A good prenatal should have it all in it.. extra iron can cause constipation.. so beware of that!! if you arent retaining iron well.. or your levels are low.. it might just be that you arent taking it at the right time.. in order to absorb iron you need to take it with vitamin c.. so juice or something with vitamin c.. with the prenatals should do it.. take care!
