OUCH I have totally broken my pinky toe like 7 times in my life time! Once when I stubbed it on the door jam- once on a coffee table and WOW your right it really really hurts ALOT! It will turn black and blue and swell. Compare it to your other little toe and being crooked is also a sign. Did u hear a little crack when u hurt it? Unfortunately going to the docotrs doesnt do crap! There is absolutely NOTHING they can do for a broken toe! They dont set it or anything! They may give u a few pain killers so u can sleep but other than that- we just gotta suck it up and live thru it!

Going to the doctor wouldn't do anything. Your pinky toe is so small that if it WAS broken, there was nothing that could be done.
I've broken three toes in my lifestime, and it sounds a bit like what you are describing. Broken bones feel differently to eat person.
Does this mean you have a broken toe? No. Does it mean it's not broken? No.
I would put some ice on it, take some Advil, and relax.

If you did break it, it will be a bit swollen and when the swelling goes down, it may be a little crooked. Most doctors won't do anything for a broken toe. They just have to heal on their own. Try not to pull it back even if you think its not broken, Because if it is, it can make your toe a little bit more crooked when it heals. If you leave it alone, then chances are it will be more straight when it heals.

I broke my pinky toe and girl let me tell you, it hurt, it hurt like hell, it really hurt when the doctor set it with just tape because he said that there was nothing else he could do. After it was set, it really wasn't that bad, actually it was the best 6 weeks I spent out of work. I was injured but not dying, if you know what I mean and it will heal and hopefully it will look right in a pair of sandals.

You might have, but probably not. I thought I broke my pinky toe once, but I had actually broken my foot! (but I was in serious pain that didn't go away).
I've broken a few toes before, and the only thing they can do anyhow is use that white tape to tape it to the toe next to it.
You could ice it and tape it for support.
If it still really hurts tomorrow, you might consider getting it checked out, but try the ice first.

My husband has broken his pinky toe twice. All they will do is tape it to the toe beside it and tell you to stay off of it as much as possible and take pain medicine.

Even if it is broken, they can't do much for you other than tape it to the next closest toe. It'll get better, but if has only "kinda" hurt, it's probably not broken.

Just tape it securely to your other toes. A doctor cant do anything for a broken or sprained toe.

If you really don't want to go to the doctor, you can tape your pinky toe to the next toe. It's called buddying up.

I can't tell you if you broke it or not....but I can tell you that if it is broken there is not much they can do except for maybe tape it to the toe next to it(they cannot cast a toe)...which you can do yourself only alot cheaper.
