People tend to glorify FDR as some sort of saint- I think after WW2 he was elivated to god stauts- The reality is he was a quasi dictator who nearlly destoyed America. Pres. Hoover was not to blame for the depression- FDR was, and the fact none of FDR's policies could help eliviate the depression in th mid to late 30s was proof of his ineptitude. His social security program was federal welfare- proof of his socialist leanings.
FDR vowed neutrality, yet waged in a global war on 2 fronts. War with Japan was justified as they attcked us, but clearly negotiatons with Hitler could have defused the need for war with Germany. Rooselvelt ordered the arrest of jouralists who questioned his policies, proof her was a fascist. His internment of the japanese Americans was a horrible decision- these people were asiaitic in ancestory- but were Americans- that act alone should serve as proof of his poor leadership- Staying in office for 4 terms was proof he had fascist ambitions- HORRIBLE president
