I suggest you ask people who work in shoe stores. I'm sure they'd have encountered a big foot in their lifetime if not bigfeet. And this variety isn't covered in fur!!!!!

Don't believe U98. He simply is too willing to believe someone who makes outrageous claims and doesn't know the first thing about the subject he is writing about. Wallace was not responsible for making up the bigfoot stories. Did Wallace go trapsing around Southern Alaska to California making footprints that showed flexibility of the feet yet extremely deep tracks that had an inhuman stride No. Did he somehow go back in time and invent Indian legends? No He claimed his wife walked around in a suit and that was what the Patterson film was. In fact his suit wouldn't fool a 5 year old. Wallace's fake footprints have been found and identified occassionally but it isn't that difficult to judge them to be fake if you have any tracking sense at all. IWallace helped build the road the was visited by a bigfoot, the bigfoot whose footprints that a man named Jerry Crew casted and spawned the term bigfoot. This caused Wallace to be fascinated by the subject. He then started building feet, rediculous feet with oversized post digital pads that I could spot a mile away. He then tried his hand at other hoaxes. To his death bed, he said he did not fake the original ones and that is a sure thing that he didn't. He might have faked a small percentage. His family did enjoy the notoriety and tried to claim he was responsible for all of the bigfoot prints. For anyone who knows the subject well, it is a rediculous claim.

It exists as long as people still believe it does. Many see UFOs and take pictures of them and they aren't supposed to exist either. I wonder if Bigfoot has those weapons of mass destruction?

Hoax, sorry. The person who started it explained it all, and even how it got out of controll and unstoppable. His statement, of course, was ignored.
The history of this Hoax is actually more interesting than the Hoax itself.

at some point in 1930, Swiss geologist Dr. Francois de Loys replaced into ideal an expidition interior the rainforest close to the Brazilian-Columbian border whilst 2 ape-like creatures walked out of the bush, upright on 2 legs, in front of them. Startled, they moved in the direction of the occasion in a threatening way which led to the adult adult males to shoot them. the female replaced into killed on an analogous time as the male fled into the bush. formally there are not any apes in South u.s., it extremely is why this creature had no rational explaination. not basically did it walk upright on 2 legs like a human, besides the undeniable fact that it had no tail. It stood approximately 5 ft tall (a million.5 metres) and replaced into too heavy to hold with them, so they propped it sitting on a crate, putting a pole below this is chin to image it. regrettably, dissimilar the photos have been lost whilst the geologists' boat capsized yet this one superb image did stay to tell the tale. whilst they have been given back to London, it rattled the medical international. One French zoologist replaced into confident it replaced right into a species of unknown ape, the 1st ever present day in South u.s.. Others thought it replaced into nearer to the widely used Spider Monkey in spite of the lots greater and muscular physique and the actuality it had fewer tooth than that species. some opponents even argued that it could desire to have certainly had a tail and de Loys had purposely hidden it to take the image. at present this incident is all yet forgotten in cryptozoologist circles.
