I hate the Yankees, but how can u not think it will be them to be the best? Basesealing and power up and down the line-up. Potenial to have a fine SP(not great) and one of the best closers in baseball. I think the mets are a great team, but worried about Alou and Green's age. Minnesota has a good all-around team. Good average, power, stolen bases, SP and closer. Boston need to find a closer. StLouis won last yr cause Mets 199 million dollar player forgot to take the bat off his shoulder. Cleveland is up and coming but not quite there yet,, maybe next yr. The Cubs have a very good chance to win the whole thing. They have SP, power, SBs,Leadership, manager. Maybe a yankee, cubs series on the way.

I think the Cubs are poised to make a run at this.
Of course there is always the Yankees and Red Sox, who both have very good teams. But the Blue Jays are no push overs this year, so their division just got a little tougher for them.
The Cubs, if Wood and Prier stay healthy, and if Zambrano gives us another great season, are going to be right there with this. They have improved their offense greatly, have helped solidify their bullpen, and with Lou and his aggressive style taking over, I think the Cubs will surprise everyone outside of Chicago this year.

The Yankees without question.
Their pitching has greatly improved this season by getting rid of Randy Johnson which pulled the yankees down and getting Andy Pettitte. I also think that Igawa will be a good upgrade from Jaret Wright. Their bullpen has also gotten stronger with the addition of Vizcaino.
Even though they haven't added any major bats this season I think with the Phillips/Mientkiwitz platoon at first with Giambi as DH will help them considering Mientkiwitz is a gold glove first baseman.
The Yankees won the AL East last year easily and now with all of the improvements they will go all the way.
GO YANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sturdy question. i think of it will be the Marlins. it particularly is because of the fact of their youthful pitching skills. The devil Rays are sturdy and all, yet i don't think of that they might anticipate their pitching that properly. i understand with the signing of Al Reyes as their closer will surely help them a lot, however the D- Rays nevertheless have not got adequate alleviation help. good now their alleviation record is 3-6, it particularly is too many leads given away interior the seventh and 8th innings. The Marlins pitching isn't a lot extra perfect, yet they have hitters that they might anticipate to offer while the pitching is down. With now pitchers with an under 3.00 era, the Marlins would have hardship triumphing video games, yet with the help of their alleviation, with 6 out of 7 alleviation pitchers with a sub 4.00 era premier the way. Miguel Cabrera, Hanley Ramirez, and Josh Willingham premier the way, the Marlins have a lot of hitting to lower back up their pitching. The devil Rays do have a sturdy probability to be an excellent group this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, one, because of the fact of their offense. (Upton, Iwamura, Crawford, and Wiggington) interior the tip it will be close, yet I particularly have the Marlins because of the fact the extra perfect group.

The Chicago White Sox easily. Last year they burned Det. out of the reg season games. the pitching was a little off but i think thats all behind them. They had the most home runs and best offense in the league by a mile. Now that their pithing is under control they will get to the series again and win. Behurle is in the best shaqpe of his life, Garland won 18 games last year, Vasquez has some of the best stuff in the league just needs to get past the 6th inning, and Contreas is flat out amazing. Then look at the heart of thier lineup Iguchi, Konerko, Thome, Dye,Crede. By far the most feared line up in the AL id say even more so then Boston. Konerko Thome and Dye al had over 40 honers last year. And dye led the league in Sluggin for months. Crede had 35 homers last year and his BA was like 320 or something. The White Sox are going to be the team to watch this year.

I think the Indians will prove to be the most complete team in the league. I think their rotation is primed for a big year with Sabathia, Westbrook, Sowers, and the rest. Grady Sizemore is a future MVP who is an all around great player, and Hafner is turning into one of the most dangerous hitters in baseball. Bounce back years from Martinez and Peralta all add up to a great season.

Im a life long Cubs fan and i think they got something special this year but i would have to say the Yankees impressed me this year. They made smart moves, got rid of old guys and got younger.... Thats my pick for World series match-up... Cubs vs. Yankees
