They are losing a lot of their creativity. Occasionally you still see episodes that are moderately funny, but they are nearly as good as they used to be. The Halloween episodes are a prime example. It you watch them in order you start to see a gradual decline in the quality of the jokes and plot lines....17 years is a long time to come up with fresh ideas. I sort of think the movie coming out in June will be the climax of the series and we will probably see an end to the run in the future. Although creator Matt Groening claims that their ratings are still high, and as long as people are watching they will keep making episodes...

It was definitley more than 9 seasons of greatness, but you are right, but it isnt that it is a horrible show its just that we have come to expect the maximum randomness that the simpsons just dont bring to the table anymore. Also due to the fact that family guy is that all time raining champion of randomness it makes the simpsons look worse. I havent really been into the simpsons ever since I became a family guy fan.
How dare that chick above me. saying the simpsons always sucked. People like that should be dragged out into the street and shot

thats the american family. But really it does suck now, because before the writers wrote funny situations, but now the new writers just write jokes and punchlines, it crap. And why are they letting Lisa have more episodes, I don't want to watch blatant liberalism every friggin episode. Oh but at least Futurama is coming back in 08 on Comedy Central :)

I used to love it a long time ago, but they can't really do anything else with that show. I don't watch it anymore because it has lost it's appeal. I do enjoy Family Guy & American Dad!

Yeah, it's become a faint shadow of its former self. All good things must end, they say. Apparently it's true in this case. The saddest part about it is that it's still one of the funniest shows on TV.

There are 350-something episodes and FOX only shows the same, um, one. So, needless to say, I'm bored with it. When my TiVo finds one from the 90s, I'll watch it.

No, I think that is a great show, and I don't care what others think. This is MY opinion, and ur opinion was that u don't like it anymore. As simple as that. Who cares if its gross, or whatever, just don't let young kids watch it.
