How can any intelligent person believe that some unknown, invisible force created everything but decides to hide from us??? We might as well still believe in Zeus and the greek gods. Maybe this is why America is quickly becoming a third rate power. Belief in fairy tales never got anyone very far.

Might I point out that the first time the country became a major power the country was a christian country and now that we no longer allow it look what is happening it is people like you who won't allow it and now look whats happening our story or theory would be much more believable if it were reversed! and as for your angle of the whole smart thing let me tell you something I have a GPA of 4.0 I took the ACT early I am 13 and I scored a 25 overall in the ACT I scored a 32 in the reading portion shall i go on. Oh and thats not even half of it so yeah i won't get a best answer because i don't agree with you but you really want my opinion go to my Q&A and check out my answer to the question how do you know if your religion is true!

As a Christain.... I would say you have made two mistakes
1) in denying the existence of God ( that i wont defend, that is for you to answer at another time)
2) in Considering the US a third rate power. Where are #'s 1 and 2? We are a long long long way from relinquishing our hold on the most powerfull nation on earth status. One important reason is evident in your post.. They would lock you up for saying what you believe in many countries. Countries without freedoms implode. God Bless You !~

If you're going to question the existance of a higher being, you might as well question it for all religions instead of singling one out. The majority of religions believe in the existance of a God or an Idol, or more than one. You should respect other people's opinions on religious beliefs.

If believing in God - and Jesus as God's son is what helps them to be a good person - then I think that's fine.
I say - Everybody gets to believe in whatever they want - as long as it's not harming anybody else.
When people start pushing their beliefs on others (and I think the way you are expressing yourself here is a little pushy and rude) - that's when we we start having problems.
Oh - and I'm not a Christian. I'm a Religious Scientist.
In summary - I don't think believing in God or Christ is what's destroying America.

Like Christians say our country has gone down hill in morals since the separation of church and state. I would say maybe there could be some validity in your claim if it was the other way around and Christianity was on the rise rather than declining to the immorality

That is so absurd. God is a transcendental being and you will not be able to see him even if He is just next to you like a germ could not see the person who hosts it. I am muslim and atheists like you do not make sense, on the contrary all christians, jews and muslims support the very same idea. You are miserable because the US owes its power to is religion and moral values,

The same can be said for all religions, not just christianity. What about Islam, Budism, Taoism, Judism, etc......The true aim of your question is to discredit christians in America. Why are you hiding your hatred? Why not admit to who and what you are?

Is it easier for you to believe that life evolved out of absolutely nothing for no purpose whatsoever all by itself?
I think the idea that this is all there is, beyond depressing.

The Founding Fathers all believed in G-d, and they all believed in freedom of religion. You don't believe in G-d, and you believe in freedom FROM religion
