I used to watch Sabrina when i was younger and now I watch the re-runs on ABC Family. I missed like a week of episdoes and was wondering what happened to the aunts. Where did they go? 10 points 4 the best answer

Well the correct answer has been posted several times, but they're either copied and pasted from another source (and not credited) or long and drawn out, here's the condensed version.

Aunt Hilda met her true love and impusively decided to marry him, Sabrina thought it was a mistake and decided to break them up, but when Hilda lost her true love she turned into stone and crumbled. In order to bring Hilda back to life Sabrina was forced to give up her true love (sorry I know I'm saying true love a lot), at which point Harvey decided he was moving to California and Josh decided he was taking a job in Prague. Sabrina losing her true love caused her to crumble like Hilda did, and in order to bring back Sabrina, Zelda gave up her adult years (she basically turned into an 8 year old). So Hilda left because she got married and Zelda left to live in the Other Realm because Sabrina assured her that she didn't need her help anymore.

Episode 141:
After Hilda breaks up with President Banning, Zelda and Sabrina decide to take her shopping in the Other Realm to get her mind off what happened. Not long after Zelda and Sabrina return to the Mortal Realm, Hilda finds the love of her life at an Outlet Mall Food Court. When the happy couple returns home, Zelda and Sabrina are shocked at hearing Hilda and Will are going to be married at the end of the week. Thinking that Hilda is only marrying Will on the rebound, Sabrina comes up with the idea of having Zelda throw herself at Will. As a result, Hilda and Will get in an argument and ultimately break up. At seeing Hilda turn to stone, Zelda realizes what Hilda had been true love; Sabrina goes to work to get Hilda back to normal. Meanwhile, Salem tries to use Sabrina to hustle her friends in a game of poker.

*Hilda & Zelda left the series early on Season 7.

Hilda Spellman (played by Caroline Rhea) is one of Sabrina's aunts, a 642 year old witch who is Zelda's younger sister. She is often portrayed as the less pragmatic of the two aunts, and constantly worries about things that could be considered superficial. Hilda was also the more outgoing and fun-loving aunt. She was formerly engaged to Drell, head of the Witches Council (played by Penn Jillette of Penn and Teller). During the college seasons, she became the owner of the coffee shop where Sabrina and Josh worked, and where many of the show's scenes took place. As Sabrina's time in college came to a dwindle, Hilda met her soul mate, a train conductor on the Halloween Express, and impulsively married him. However, it almost did not happen after Zelda and Sabrina meddled for what they thought were the right reasons. Hilda later came back in Season 7 to attend Sabrina's wedding.


Zelda Spellman (played by Beth Broderick) is Sabrina's brainy aunt who is always engaging in new scientific experiments. She is often referred to as a Quantum physicist. Zelda is also a 650 year old witch and sometimes teaches at Westbridge High, and (in later seasons) Adams College. Zelda often plays the role of the mature, logical one, to bring Sabrina (and sometimes Hilda) back to earth after they attempt some zany scheme or otherwise get into trouble. Towards the end of Sabrina's time in college, Zelda gave up her adult years to bring a broken Sabrina back to life. As a child again, Zelda left Sabrina to run her own life, upon Sabrina's request. Zelda came back with Hilda, during Sabrina's wedding in Season 7, only this time as a candle. Zelda was volunteered by Hilda to become a candle (during the duration of Sabrina's wedding) so Sabrina's mother could attend the wedding and not become a ball of wax, per her Witch's Council curse.
Zelda has an evil twin named Jezebelda, who appeared in two episodes (You Can't Twin and Deliver Us From E-Mail). Jezebelda is distinguishable by her Dolly Parton-style hair and Southern drawl. She apparently caused the Bubonic plague.

One of Sabrina's aunt got married and i think the other was turned into some kind of animal or thing. The one that got married was Hilda.The one that was turned into animal or something had to to with the witch's counsel. So you see, this is what happen to Sabrina's aunts. You could also see some of the Earlie's episodes on noggin. They are also repeating them from the beginning.
