Can you clarify your question? Arithmetic is using numbers and each of these patterns uses numbers and types of arithmetic.

A) EAch number is multiplied by the same multiplier 1.2.
B) each successive number has an odd number added to it to get the next number in the sequence. 3, 5, 7...
C) Same as B, but using sequential numbering 1, 2, 3...
D) Each number is gained by adding 2.2 to the previous number.

B. Each number is derived by adding an odd number in numerical order to the previous number. Simple arithmatic.
0+1=1
1+3=4
4+5=9
9+7=16

D should be the correct anser. Arithmetic sequences involved addition, whereas geometric sequences involve multiplication.
