I would go to the doctor and get checked out. I was having some pressure too, and I went to the ER and found out I was effacing and dilating already. I was only 28 weeks. But I dont want to alarm you, chances are you are fine. Better safe than sorry though!

If you're 26 wks, a MC is highly unlikely, especially if you haven't bleed at all. Call your Dr., but it sounds like the baby might be in a strange position that is putting pressure on your nerves. Sometimes babies get in positions that make women's legs collapse underneath them, just because it's on a nerve. This could also be Braxton Hicks if if comes and goes. Good luck, I'd call my Dr. immediately!

If it persists or gets worse, you should call your doctor's nurse just to make sure. But it sounds like braxton-hicks contractions-- at least that's what the "tightness" feeling might be. As far as the pressure, that happens alot with me, just because I tend to carry low and it seems like my babies always wanted to snuggle down in my pelvic region. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water, and try lying down for a while when the pressure gets heavy.

Hi, at 26 weeks you are out of the woods for miscarriage. There is, however, the possibility at this stage of pre-term (premature) birth or stillborn, but this is very remote in an otherwise healthy young woman.

Because you are concerned, you should trust your instinct and call your doctor ASAP!! He will probably ask you to come in right away to check and make sure you are not dialating or effacing yet.

It could easily be your uterus/abdominal muscles stretching out, but better to be safe than sorry!

are you drinking alot.. the tightness int he lower half of the tummy is it sporatic or constant.. sounds like normal stretching and movement.. sometimes baby can move and cause even sharp pain.. .. i wouldnt suggest a HOT bath.. you arent supposed to be in hot water pg.. it elevates body temp too much but moderately warm water bath.. careful getting out... relax.. rub the tummy in circles can be soothing and above all drink LOTS OF FLUIDS.. if ANY woman suspects tightening in the tummy during pregnancy when its not past 37 weeks.. put your feet up a bit and drink fluids.. it usually stops it.. dehydration causes our bodies to contract pg or not.. so good luck.. relax .. and drink.. :)

It could be either the baby putting pressure on your pelvis. (That happened to me a lot) or your already beginning to have braxton hicks.

i know what it could be!! *NORMAL* lol i don't mean it in a negative or teasing way, just mean normal. but at 26 weeks for that pressure, i'd be on the lookout for up to 1 month premature. just a prediction! take care, congrats on ur baby!

That means your uterus is getting bigger and because it is not used to being that size it is hurting as it stretches! It's normal don't worry
