I took Yasmin before also- all birth control works the same- "to trick" your body into thinking you are pregnant- although each pills hormone levels vary they can all produce "Pregnancy" like symptoms- for exp. the nausea. When I tried them I got really bad headaches- If you can stick it out- most of the side effects will disappear after three months. Unfortunately there are not too many BC options that do not have hormones- so even trying something else. May yield the same results.

If this is the first time you have ever taken the pill, some slight bloating, feeling sick, etc can happen at the best of times and should pass quite soon. However, if the discomfort does not pass, you should see your doctor immediately. If you feel like the pill is really affecting your health, then do stop taking it. If you would like to continue taking the pill and you think you can hold out a little longer, it's best to end the Yasmin packet and then directly start taking the new pill. I recommend you try the mini-pill, as it should not affect your hormones as much.If you still have problems, try a vaginal ring contraceptive. In any case, contact your doctor just to be sure.

Im taking Yasmin as well. I just started it one month ago after giving birth to my first child. I only started getting side effects in the last two weeks. Ive been getting occasional headaches and bloating. Its totally up to you what you feel comfortable with. Im going to stick with it for one more month and see how it goes. But if this isnt for you go back to your doctor and ask for more advice on something else you might be able to take. Cheers and good luck.

I would try giving the pill more time. Sometimes a person's body will react this way until their own hormones regulate. Try the pill for at least one month. Write down your symptoms and within one month if your symptoms remain the same, contact your doctor and ask if there is another type of birth control pill that would better suit your body.
Hope this helps!

The best thing is to talk to your doctor or pharmacist. They can tell you if this is a temporary problem that will get better or if you should stop the medication.
Because you're taking it to regulate your hormones and not to prevent pregnancy, it would not be harmful to just go off the pill cold turkey-but you will get your period sooner than if you waited the full 21 days.
