My husband recently began thinking about getting circumcised. Oddly enough i've never been with a circumcised man and didn't really know how to respond when he told me he was thinking about having it done? Is it really any different at all? Will lovemaking feel different? Has anyone been in a similar situation? Well any answers/advice would help really.

Talk to a doctor about this. You've asked this same question 17 times--12 have been in the past four days this obviously means a lot to you! I don't really think it's any different from what I've heard but it's up to you and your husband. Best of Luck!!

If you've asked this question three times (at least) you must really need an answer. Okay. You shouldn't be able to feel any distinguishable difference during intercourse if he's circumcised, so you can count on your sex life staying the same in that respect. On the plus side, it's more hygienic generally. With the foreskin removed, there's less likelihood of dead skin, fibers, etc. getting trapped and becoming... unsanitary let's say. If he's doing it for health or appearance reasons, I'd say let him. I think you'll both be happier all around.

I've never even seen an uncircumcised penis, except in pictures. Circumcised ones are much better looking! My friend has been with both, and she said that circumcised penises feel better than uncircumcised ones, but I don't know if that's true. I read one time that it doesn't matter when it comes to sex because during erections the skin on uncircumcised penises pulls back on it's own, so sex feels the same.

I have been with two circumsized and two un-circumsized men. It doesn't feel any different for you... it may for him. It is my understanding that circumcised men have less feeling than un-circumsized men. This is because the glans of the penis is protected by the "hood"... leaving the skin under the "hood" to be more sensitive. Once the penis is erect, it is the same either way. Many people believe uncircumsized men aren't as clean... I've never known it to be an issue myself.

My recommendation to you and your husband.... "if it ain't broke... don't fix it!"

Don't do it!! Not only is the pain unbelievable (think of your labia been cut off, not to be gross) and may take a long time to heal. Secondly his sensitivity will wane over time to constant rubbing in his undergarments or pants. If he is having trouble keeping clean, he may need to shower more than once a day, and if he is prone to infection, he should talk to his doctor and see if he should change his diet or ask if the doctor can suggest some medication or topical to help. Why is he thinking of this? Vanity? Health? Religious? It would effect you in that he will be in a lot of pain and may not want or can't make love to you in a long time. Or he will associate pain with making love to you and your sex life may go down the tubes. There is a reason why men are born with foreskin, just as a reason we are born with eyelids, protection and a way for the body to maintain itself. If for religious purposes, I think you can by-pass circumcision. Good luck.

I cannot answer in regards to how love making will be affected, as I have only been with my husband who is circumcised. I can tell you that making love to your husband will always be wonderful though because HE'S YOUR HUSBAND! I do however suggest that you talk with your husband about his motives in considering circumcision, and that you support him in whatever his choice is. Good luck!

I've heard (I've only been with one man and he's circumcized) that sex is different. He won't be as sensitive, so he may need to thrust harder to enjoy sex.

Why does he want this done now? Unless he's having health issues, I'd tell him to think about it some more. Rent Penn & Teller's Bullshit, season 3, disc 1 -- it talks all about this issue.

I don't think it will be much different. I've never been with a man who wasn't circumcised.
