clean it and throw things away that you dont need... trust me if you think that you might need it later toss it...

a couple of days ago our family was helping our aunt clean for a wedding and they said that Oprah said" if you have to think about saving it then toss it" so if my aunt thought about saving it, it went out to the trash...

and get rid of old clothes they just get in the way of your newer ones.... have fun cleaning...

I WAS JUST GOING TO ASK THIS! I know how it is with all the odds and ends! I went to the thrift store and picked up some storage containers. Go to the shoe store and ask if they have spare shoe boxes. (= save up a couble bucks and buy storage containers from a place like Dollar Tree, or some other 1.00 or less dollar store near you. I have so much stuff and I had four junk drawers, and now I only have one. Hope I helped!

completely empty the room of all of your stuff. Get rid of what you don't want as you put it back. It's a lot of work, but you'll feel less attached to items the more you have to deal with them. We just did this for our daughter's room and it worked like a charm. She found things she loves and forgot about, and gained about twice as much space by parting with junk.

I think you can start by getting rid of the things that you dont regularly use..I did this, and it helped me get organized from there.

try getting some containers from thrift stores and garage sales. Also, ziploc bags are fairly cheap.
