the last couple of years around this time there seems to be talk of increasing the field to 128 teams...would this be better or worse?

If you're going to have 128 teams, why not just make it all 330 Division I teams. I think 64-68 teams insures that teams earn their way in, be they small conference champions or decent middle of the big conference teams.

Definitely NO. If you expand the field to 128 teams, it takes the excitement away from March Madness. Instead of good teams battling it out for Tournament spots, like maybe Clemson or Texas Tech, you'd have no-name cupcakes getting in. 128 would be absolutely ridiculous. And basically everybody automatically gets in so where's the excitement?

an entire set of 'play-in' game would be kind of cool. expanding the field will make it a more competitive season in most conferences, with more teams potentially eligible.

I like the idea.
