why do they always say God bless America isn't that a bit greedy, why dont they say god bless the world! I dont say God bless England every second anywho. it reallly fascinates me

America was built on a christian foundation, right? So it was originally a prayer of a sort, tho now as Americans turn away from christianity and are going more over to the atheist side, it's just become a terminology we've grown to use. "we" being Americans....For some of us, we would use "god bless...." you can fill in the blank. So the phrase doesn't only end in "america". I do hope that helps answer your question. You are right, it should be God Bless The World. but then why do we hear God save the Queen? or some thing like that, or was that just in the past, and in old movies Why not God save our country.

It's patriotic and it's part of a song. I never understood why no one else ever said God bless their country. It's not like they cant, they just don't. Don't blame us just because you guys don't say it.
