life is education and we should never pass up the opportunity to learn something new, if you talking about 'formal' education then i think yes, there can be too much, i see students who come to school and then are tutored extensively outside of school hours (often capable students with over competitive parents!). this prevents them from doing the other important 'kids' stuff, like playing sport, having a hobby, socialising with friends and chilling out!

anything that supercedes the normal limits is too much. There is a limit to everything even education.
There is something we should keep in mind that at all times we should be open to learning. We should always remain green, and ready to learn. The minute we think we have become ripe with knowledge we will start rotting.
With your question I understand the education given to someone with a purpose without the time to make use of it practically. This could be useless and unworthy.

It depends on what you mean. For example, I believe that people should never stop learning. They may learn how to educate themselves for the most part, but when you stop learning, you stop the ability to change.

If you are talking about education requirements for a job, then the answer is yes. For example, my friend got his teaching credential in 4 years, and then went directly into teaching and completing his PhD the next four years.

By the time he was finished, he had too much education to get a job teaching (PhD's cost more money to hire) and not enough experience to actually get a job his education dictated (a school superintendent).

It depends on the circumstance. Most of the time education is a positive attribute. Occasionally, you will find that you (or someone you know) has spent more time learning "something" than it was worth.

I think it is important for people to keep learning for all of their lives. One thing that I think is important is that you apply your education. People should use their education.

After a while, you need to put your "learning" to use--you don't want to be a "professional student."
