The general air flow across the continental USA is west to east, and this air flow is called the "Westerlies" However, the southern parts of the US (like the bottom of Florida) experiences general air flow of East to West, & these winds are called the "Trade Winds."

Weather tends to be cylindrical and it does depend on the time of year. Cold air blows SE out of the N and across the U.S. and warm air blows NE from the S.
