I've recently bought a 4 year old Arab mare and would like to start showing her in hand soon. She is 15.2hh a deep reddish bay colour with a stripe on her face and two socks on her hind legs, she started her career as a racehorse but couldn't handle the stress, she is very sweet natured and friendly and her current name is Bubbles. I would love to give her a show name preferably beginning with B and an Arabian or Celtic name but I am open to all suggestions. Can anyone help?

All your answers are very helpful and I'm loving some of the names if I want to change her barn or stable name but I'm looking for a show name so nice long ones with a few words in are preferable. (e.g my friends horses stable name is puzzle but his show name is "fit the pieces" and my horses mother was called Don or "Don Quijote de la Mancha"

ooh...I have a Merlyn, a Bonnie, a Bridie and a Pig. Pig was the only one I named, and he got that because he has a wind problem!
Cariad means Sweetheart in Welsh, although there's lots of Cariads here and that would put me off.
I love the name Willow, I had a beautiful Hanoverian with that name. My daughter wanted to call her Buffy and I wouldn't let her, so this was a compromise.
I love star names and there are plenty of those, greek mythology and all that, how about Andromeda? You could call her Andy.
Mmm, got me thinking now...

i like the two. you may % the colours on her character, pink and black is like lava or fire, so in the experience that your mare is lively or "warm" you may %. those colorations. Blue and yellow(reckoning on the colors) is almost a sunny/cloudless day, so in the experience that your mare is mellow and candy you may %. those colour. Or if she is in user-friendly terms a splash of the two, possibly you need to use black and yellow. individually i like blue and yellows on bays, whether that is as much as you! sturdy success!:)

When I was young (MANY moons ago!) My friend had an arab X mare and she was a dark bay and very 'showy' Absolutely gorgeous, her name was BELLE.
I'll always remember her, she was really feisty and coquettish.
I wish I could keep horses again, I really miss them.

I Love horses, and the Arabs are an Ancient Egyptian breed originally so I would like to suggest a fitting name of :
BERNELLE ------ ANESKI
(victory bringer) -- - (she belongs to me)

shantih. there are books about an arab mare called shantih i think it means peace or something like that. or maybe phoenix. as she is finishing her career as a race horse and starting again with you. i cant think of anything beginning with b for the minute.... good luck with your new mare.
