a megasporocyte is basically an ovary for a plant. It will divide by meiosis (so it starts off as 2n) and produce four megaspores (which are 1n).
If the plant has 15 chromosomes and it's diploid (2n) number is 30 then your megasporangium will have 30 chromosomes and each megaspore will have 15.
