Are the Sonics a playoff caliber team with Allen and Lewis healthy?

If both those players stay healthy all season long then...yes they are a playoff team, not a very good one though. If they were to make the playoffs it would be as an 8 or at best a 7 seed. They are in a strong west divisio so you can't expect them to match up with the Spurs, Mavericks, Suns, Utah (booh) etc.

If the sonics were in the east they would have a chance, but in the West they need a great PF or C to deal with players like Dirk, Amare, Yao, Duncan, Garnett (even though KG could be SF). Radmonovic helped them a lot, they should have kept him, but he isn't all that physical. Collison, Wilcox and Fortson are not good enough players. THey should have tanked to get Oden!

No, not in the West. There are too many good teams, and Allen Lewis are both perimeter players. They need inside presense, better defense, and a deeper bench.

no...a reliance on outside shooters with essentially no down low presence doesn't make you a playoff caliber team, and Chris Wilcox is not a good down low presence. They need to develop Swift and need to do it quick before they lose their outside presence as well...a balance of an inside/outside game is what makes playoff caliber teams i.e. SA, Dallas, Phoenix, Detroit, Utah...all have good outside scorers with inside presence.
