for a few days now i have been really itchy "downstairs" and now it's really painful and it burns and the openings purple! please help im really confused and worried, only serious answers though

Don't worry sweetie, you have a yeast infection. We all get them at some point or another. Just go to your nearest drugstore and buy what's called (Monistat) It comes in a box and you can treat the yeast infection with this in your own home. You'll be fine, but hurry to the store and get this ASAP!!! This way you can treat it quickly so that you don't have to be in further pain, and have the itching as well. I hate yeast infections, but they are curable. Monistat is the best thing to treat it with. If your having problems finding it just ask a pharmacist. I know everyone is telling you to go to the doctor's first, but use the Monistat first. If you still have these symptoms after you use it then go to the doctor. You can save yourself time if you can treat this at home first. Just see what happens, and if it doesn't help then go to step 2 which is the doctor. Try not to be too worried. It's probably purple because you have been scratching at it too hard down there. It sounds like it's just bruised.

This could be as simple as a yeast infection or something as serious as a sexually transmitted disease. It's important that you see a gynecologist right away - they can prescribe the proper treatment and give you advice to keep this from happening again. You should see one as soon as possible to prevent the symptoms and possible consequences of this from becoming any worse.

Sounds like a yeast infection. If you have never had one, see your doc to make sure otherwise pick up the Monistat 1 Day which includes cream to help the itch.

It could possibly be a yeast infection, they have some over the counter medications that can take care of it, or just see your doctor. It's nothing to be worried about.

You definitely need to go to the doctor. I've had several yeast infections and my vagina was never purple and there was no pain. Whatever the prob is you need medical attention, even if its yeast, you need to have it diagnosed if it's your first one. "Pain" and "purple" sounds scary!

Any thickish discharge? creamy colour? Then it's probably thrush...it probably burns now because it's sore. You can buy over the counter treatment for this. If UK ask for canestan.
If not the above symptoms...you should go now to your doctor and get diagnosed.

Sound like a yeast infection, SEE A DOC!!! It can happen from many things like sitting in a bath too long, wearing tight pants for too long, etc.

It's a yeast infection, which is very common. Go see your doc to get diagnosed, and they'll give you some meds that will make it feel better v. soon.

It sounds like a yeast infection, but if you've been sexually active without protection you might have contracted something. To be safe go see your doctor.
