I have a Nissan Quest from the year 1997 i believe and i am wondering why it smells like gasoline when i turn on the heater. Its cold here in NJ so i turn on the car and heater and go back inside my house and wait until my car heats up. When i go in my car it smells like gas (a lot) does anyone know why this is happening?

I had a similar problem, I did not want to take chances with the car burning up. I had it towed to the dealer, they found a faulty gasket in the fuel injection rail, some gas was getting on the outside if the manifold and when you turned the heater on the vapors would be sucked inside the cabin.

it sounds like you have a fuel line leaking, or maybe you need to replace the o-rings on your fuel injectors, either way you need to get it done asap, a fuel leak is nothing you would want to wait too long to have fixed, with the price of gas these days, you don't want to waste any more than you have to. also it can be a fire hazard.
