I quite soda Jan. 1 and haven't had a drop since. For sugar reasons as well as phosphoric and carbonic acid (calcium absorption blocked by these). I also haven't had any McD, but did have a whopper (no fries) and Taco Bell 2 or 3 times (nothing fried). My goal is to have good health and I think these are good starts. Just wondering, any other good, easy to do tips anyone has who is also where I am?

For those who are contemplating it...do it! My digestive system is so much better! I don't feel sluggish and I don't have to go to the bathroom right after I eat, which can be very inconvenient.

Sorry, I meant to say "quit" and not "quite"!

You are very smart and dedicated to be able to stick to this. Remember to try to make some healthy "fast foods" at home to freeze for days that you are short of time and then you can go to your own source in your own freezer.

I Haven't Had A Soda In Years, I Quite Drinking In Middle School, It's Way Too Unhealthy For You. I Understand About Feeling Better, I Don't Eat Fast Food Unless It's Grilled And Chicken. I Hope You Keep Up With The Healthy Eating, Good Luck!

i could never quit eating mcd's or bk. and then there is jack in the box, wendy's, arby's and hardies. i'm 5'3", 125 #. i eat mcd's couple times a week. i am 47 yr. old and have only gained about 10 # in the last 20 years. but i exercise. i find you can eat whatever you want as long as you exercise. i also love reeses peanut butter cups and pepsi. not a day goes by that i don't indulge. :) but good luck to you. keep fresh fruit in the house to help you if you have a sweet tooth. and try yoga. it is a nice place to start with exercise.

I started a vegan diet on Feb 1st and I love it. I have already lost five pounds and I feel healthier and have more energy. I also never eat a fast food or soda either. Keep up the good work and soon many people will be doing what were doing and people won't be as lazy anymore.

McDonalds and Burger King have nothing to do with your health. You do. Fast food places don't make you sick. Overeating does. Just remember, anything and everything in MODERATION.

I don't eat at either because I'm a better cook, and can make tastier, healthier food at home (I work full time and I'm married, yet I still seem to find the time... hmmm).
