I would think it means to focus on yourself, do the best you can, and make the most of yourself because in the end that is all there is is you.

I believe it is saying to work on yourself, for that is all you can change. Kinda 'be the best you can be'. You might not be able to save the world or make it better but you can make yourself better.

it mean that at the end of the day you really only have yourself. you can't always rely on someone else., ex. lover, family, friends........basicaly try and do the things in life that will make you a happy fufilled person. you can try and make others happy but at the end you are the only person who really mater
